TOOTH EXTRACTIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT TOOTH EXTRACTIONS

While we’ll always do everything we can to save a tooth, there may be times when we recommend extraction in order to maintain and preserve the health of the surrounding teeth and overall oral wellbeing. This could be in cases of impacted or inflamed wisdom teeth for example, or teeth that have become too decayed or damaged to be restored another way.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

WILL IT BE PAINFUL?

We understand that the prospect of tooth extraction can be anxiety-inducing for many individuals. Please rest assured that your comfort and a pain-free experience are our top priorities. We always administer anesthesia before beginning any treatment and can also offer sedation if needed. We can arrange for trained IV anaesthetists to come to the practice, or we can provide oral or inhalation sedation in-house to ensure your utmost comfort and relaxation during the procedure.

CAN I REPLACE MY EXTRACTED TOOTH?

Yes, indeed. While there are certain extractions, like wisdom tooth removal, where replacement may not be necessary, in most cases, we strongly recommend replacing the extracted tooth as soon as possible. During a consultation, we can discuss all your replacement options, and thanks to our comprehensive treatment range and our team of highly skilled specialists, we can offer a variety of excellent replacement solutions.
